Stilt walkers and jugglers from the Cirque troupe paraded down Bankside before guests even set foot through the doors. They were greeted with a flourish of red carpet, velvet rope, and towering urns spilling over with red roses. And when they stepped inside, human statues lined the garland-festooned grand staircase. The transformation had begun.
